Omnichannel Retailing – Recipe For Success

I recently read a report by Happiest Minds that listed the ingredients needed for the perfect retail order.  The list included items like stock availability, timely delivery, perfect quantity, right packaging and correct invoicing.  While each ingredient might seem basic, in reality it takes a team of experts to execute each component flawlessly. 

I couldn’t help but laugh to myself when I realized that the recipe for an awful retail order on the other hand, could be made with just one ingredient and could have many variations.  There are so many parts of the process that can go astray.  Maybe it’s an inventory error, a break in your supply chain, or even something as simple as a failed mobile device.  

So, how do retailers cook up a seamless shopping experience?

Unfortunately there is no magic answer that can be used across all retailers.  Each business comes with its own set of obstacles. But, there are a few practices that have proven to be successful time and again...
