iHerb Releases Personalized Android App

iPhone Version to follow in September

Moreno Valley, CA /PRNewswire/ - iHerb, an international online retailer of nutritional supplements and wellness products that ships products directly to customers in 150 countries, has developed and released a new Android app that personalizes the shopping experience.

Most shopping apps require customers to search for their product or sift through layers of menus for products that don't apply. The iHerb Android App solves this problem with a personalized Home Page which provides a faster and better shopping experience. This is especially important since iHerb offers more than 35,000 products and 1,000 brands.

"Using the new app, customers will spend less time clicking and scrolling while quickly accessing the product information that is important to them," said Peter Hong, iHerb's Mobile Product Manager. "Customers can create up to 48 individual custom icons which act as shortcuts to their favorite product categories, saved searches, or health topics. Since iHerb has thousands of product categories to choose from, chances are no two customers are likely to have the same iHerb Home Page."

The new iHerb Android app, now available for download from Google Play also enables customers to make mobile purchases from 45 global currencies and in six languages (English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Spanish). The global currencies help customers appreciate iHerb's low pricing and save up to 3% on foreign exchange transaction fees. An iPhone version of the app will become available in September 2015.

Other highlights and features of the new app include:

• App menu allows easy browsing through products and account management functions.
• Enhanced features allow you to sort and filter a product list to find exactly what you are looking for.
• Save frequently used searches and create customizable icons on the Homepage.
• Purchases made through the app are also automatically credited towards iHerb's customer referral program called iHerb Rewards.

iHerb's inventory includes nutritional supplement and wellness products, bath and beauty, specialty grocery items, superfoods, kids and baby products, pet items, creams and lotions, aromatherapy and fitness products. To ensure freshness, iHerb processes all orders from climate-controlled distribution centers, which protect products from such conditions as humidity, heat and cold.
