Kingstar Media Adds Wayfair.ca To Its E-Commerce Portfolio

Home furnishing e-commerce giant looks to next-gen direct response to strengthen foothold in Canada

Kingstar Media has announced that Wayfair Inc. one of the world's largest online destinations for home furnishings and décor, has joined its e-commerce portfolio. A multi-billion dollar international e-commerce leader, Wayfair is only in its first year of operations in Canada, but Kingstar is already working to make the brand’s .ca address a household name. The agency is using branded direct response television to bring Wayfair’s inspired home décor and over 7 million home furnishing offerings right into Canadian homes.

Wayfair’s new fall campaign will go live next week on September 12, 2016. Kingstar will launch new 30s creative to reflect the maturing awareness of the e-commerce brand in Canada and ongoing expansion of product offerings to the site—many of which are made in Canada.

The drive to web DRTV campaign launched on March 16th with spots running on all major networks, including W Network, Slice and Showcase. Wayfair facilitated a special media buy with HGTV. All of Wayfair’s current TV advertising focuses on their offer of free shipping over $75. To measure the campaign, Kingstar utilizes an in-house attribution model to determine CPV (cost-per-visit) measurement, benchmarking figures against Wayfair’s internal model measuring CPV and ad cost as a percent of revenue (ACPR), in addition to Numeris audience data.

Kingstar’s e-commerce portfolio has grown significantly over the last three fiscal years, and has seen a threefold increase with e-commerce brands looking to launch strategically in Canada.
