The holiday rush will be here before you know it; take time now to ensure your DC — and workers — are properly equipped and trained.
The weekend after Thanksgiving has become a critical measure of success (and survival) for retailers, and it gets bigger every year. According to the National Retail Federation, more than 154 million consumers shopped over the Thanksgiving weekend in 2017, spending an average of $289.19 per person. The NRF data indicated that 44% of those shoppers went online, while 40% shopped in-store.
Overall holiday sales last year were up 5.5% from 2016, exceeding industry estimates.
